Narrtivizing Bharatvarsa & other essays

This book is a collection of ten essays that have been grouped under two rubrics – ‘History’ and
‘Representations and Politics’. The first set of essays intervene in conversations that constitute areas of historical inquiry to challenge certain interpretations of the Indian past. The essays classed under the second rubric dwell on the politics inherent in the social and cultural portrayals of India in academia and journalism. The general objective of this volume is to provide discursive grounds wherefrom the reader could gather conceptual and analytical resources for an alternative view of the themes and topics it covers.
